Description
This edition of the International PhD Colloquium explored the topic of institutions in democracies, their histories and their future, in relation to the specific role of architecture and urban planning. In the light of the current political and ideological crises in liberal democracies and former welfare states around the world, we are interested in asking: how might institutions sustain democracies, allow for continuities and transformation, and nurture resilience?Participants included a mix of prospective PhD candidates, current PhD researchers and those who have recently finished their dissertation: Íñigo Cornago Bonal, Burcu Köken, Dennis Pohl, Marko Skoblar, Linda Vlassenrood, and Thomas Wensing. Invited peer reviewers provided feedback.
