Are our catchment boundaries watertight?

Description

Most hydrological model assume a closed water balance, meaning that catchment boundaries derived from surface elevation model also apply in the underground. In the Meuse basin, several relatively small subcatchments have unrealistic water balances that might indicate some underground losses/exchanges. This presentation will show how these losses evolve along the same river and what we can learn from it to improve our hydrological models.
