Description

This joint Keynote Speech addresses how the complex process of organisational learning involving a dynamic interplay of different forms of learning can be modeled computationally. The recently developed computational intelligence approach to address this covers, for example, individual learning of mental models, feed-forward learning of shared team models and shared mental models for the organisation, and feedback learning of shared team mental models and individual mental models from organisation mental models. In addition, the control of all these learning processes is addressed. The modeling approach applied uses self-modeling network models in which internal simulation of mental models, adaptation of mental models, and control over the adaptation are modeled at three different interacting levels in the network model: a base level, a first-order self-model level and a second-order self-model level.
