Member of the Jury panel – UDL Thesis Publication 2023: Curating the Best Graduate Thesis Project GloballyUrban Design Lab is organizing a thesis publication competition in the field of urban design, landscape, architecture, and planning; and Nicolò Chierichetti is invited to serve as a juror for the thesis publication.
The purpose of this publication is to offer insights on global design and research trends related to urban design, landscape, architecture, and planning, with the aim of providing valuable information for both academic and professional communities. The publication seeks to promote innovation and creativity in the field while offering a universal platform for sharing knowledge and expertise.
The publication will include the selected works of graduate students who have completed their undergraduate/ postgraduate thesis in the last two years in association with the urban domain. The selected thesis entries will be published in a book solely dedicated to the event proceedings, along with juror profiles and evaluation comments.
The competition will showcase innovative design and research-based thesis projects based on specific themes and subthemes:
A. Urban Renewal – Conservation, Regeneration, Revitalization, Heritage Revival
B. Urban Landscape – Climate Resilience, Green-Blue Infrastructure, Landscape Heritage, Landscape Health and Well-Being, Sustainable Urbanism, Recreation and Leisure
C. Urban Management – Housing, Social and Community Management, Urban Conflict Management, Urban Risk Management, Tourism Management, Inclusive Urbanism
D. Urban Networks – Mobily and Accessibility, City Linkages, Transit Oriented Development, Water Based Transit Connectivity
