Acting that they may evolve“: Spatio-Plurality, Diverse Intelligences and Regeneration in the Rural Ecosystems of Guangdong Province
This research project examines a set of villages in Guangdong, China, in terms of relationships between humans and different modes of existence. Using various research methodology with a focus on artistic research, it outlines a post-anthropocentric architecture as facilitating the recognition of diverse intelligences and the co-evolvement thereof. Doing so, the research specifically aims at developing two key concepts it assumes as underpinning the collaboration of such intelligences: regeneration and curiosity. Regeneration as comprising memory, reinstantiation, persisting and healing and curiosity as cognition and exploration. The main contribution the research aspires to make is to show how the integration of more-than-human intelligence is critical for an agential architecture that is not just subject to but co-determines the techno-ecological condition.
