Pollution and Pressure in the Public Spaces of Port-Cities

Activity: Talk or presentationTalk or presentation at a conference

Description

The presentation introduces the health conditions near industrial harbour activities. Public spaces here can be seen among others as places of pollutants, of vector-borne diseases and of urban stress. By investigating public health in its interrelation to public space, ultimately, the research aims for preventive healthcare through improving the ways port-city (re-)development and urban design are informed.
