Description
The rapid development of Digital-Twins enabled a more accurate and fast prediction of the state of complex engineering systems. In this contribution, Digital-Twins models will be discussed and used to predict the status of marine engineering systems (i.e., ships hulls, propellers, and mooring lines for floating offshore wind turbines), covering the use of machine learning algorithms and data analytics to improve the accuracy of digital-twin models predictions paving the way towards evidence-based maintenance decisions and asset lifetime extension.
