In the light of urban development, incorporating urban forests and green with a consideration of their ecosystem benefits comes with complexities. Marine terrain is in the process of redevelopment and there are many challenges of urban greening at various levels, including policy, design, and technology.

The overarching aim of this collaborated work of presentation with MVRDV is, “how can we apply speculative design as a methodology to enhance the position of green infrastructure in urban redevelopment of Marine terrain?” The presentation will reveal the approach taken in the development of public procurement by Gül Aktürk and speculative design scenarios by MVRDV in parallel. As a result, it looks into the future possibilities of the assessment of design scenarios with the use of I-tree.
