Sustainable design methods

Activity: Talk or presentationTalk or presentation at a workshop, seminar, course or other meeting

Description

As part of online seminar entitles "Science at Home", Halina presented an overview of the PhD research that investigates the integration of carbon data into the architectural design process, exploring data-driven design methods focused on the early stages of the project. This research aims to evaluate and test the transferability of data across scales in architecture and urban design. To this end, it conducts several empirical investigations with practitioners, adopting tangible cases and identifying the challenges and bottlenecks in the interaction between embodied carbon data, at the building scale, and georeferenced urban data. This was presented and debated with an audience of over 400 students, researchers and faculty from multiple design domains.
