Urban Research Methods

Activity: Talk or presentationTalk or presentation at a conference

Description

Given the evolving nature of public and private urban spaces, the lecture addresses a broad range of city-related topics with a twofold objective. First, since urban space serves as a key interface for discussion and study in the programme, it is essential to familiarise participants with the concept of public space, including crossing disciplinary (and physical) boundaries. The second part of the lecture focuses on the role of urban design in shaping these spaces, particularly in light of disciplinary redefinition. By gaining this insight, participants will better understand the significance of urban spaces and the formal processes involved in planning and designing them.
