Het consortium genaamd ‘Safe Causal Inference’, zal grensverleggend onderzoek doen en nieuwe wetenschappelijke inzichten en methodes ontwikkelen om kennis van experts en datagedreven methodes te combineren. Dit zal leiden tot methoden om betrouwbare antwoorden te geven op causale vragen. Om te komen tot een doorbraak binnen dit onderzoek heeft het consortium de Open Competitie ENW-XL subsidie van NWO ontvangen en is er voor dit project 2.5 miljoen euro toegekend.
