On September 23, 2024, the People's Daily Global People magazine conducted an exclusive interview with Academician Mark van Loosdrecht, who came to China to attend a conference and worked in Beijing. Academician van Loosdrecht talked to the interviewer, from his relationship with China (starting with Professor Hao Xiaodi) to his cooperation with China (China-Netherlands Future Wastewater Treatment Technology Research and Development Center) in the 30 years since he came to China countless times, he witnessed China's development changes and environmental improvements in all aspects.
