DescriptionDuring several months TU Delft’s railway engineering and geoscience teams conducted groundbreaking measurements in Oisterwijk to uncover the causes of railway vibrations. This ambitious effort was guided by Professors Zili Li, Michael Hicks, Evert Slob, and Cristina Jommi.

The team—comprised of postdocs, PhDs, and technical experts—worked tirelessly around the clock, making impressive progress in advancing our understanding of railway-induced vibrations. Dr. Chen Shen is project leader for the STEM test plan and developer of a method to predict the railway stiffness. Under Dr. Shen’s leadership, we’ve achieved remarkable milestones in this test. Watch Dr. Shen’s insights in this video.
