Description
The goal of the measurements is to understand the noise sources on propeller aircraft in various conditions, during flyovers and engine runups.
The flyover measurements were conducted with a phased microphone array consisting of 64 channels for an aircraft from DEAC. The pilots were performing low-passes in various airframe configurations at Teuge International Airport, The Netherlands. During these measurements additional data on aircraft performance, e.g. engine data, as well as from a GPS tracker has been saved. For this, the processed data has been shared with the spectra at overhead position.
The data set also includes microphone array measurements (112-mics) of engine runups at various positions around the propeller plane. A code is provided to read the time-pressure data and allocate the data to a microphone coordinate, such that acoustic imaging methods can be applied.
