Data supporting the research on Generation and Measurement of Rarefaction Shock Waves in Dense Vapors

The objective of this research is to experimentally demonstrate the existence of Nonclassical Gas dynamics, in particular the formation of Rarefaction shock wave. A series of rarefaction experiments are carried out with a special Ludwig tube filled with the dense vapor of siloxane D6, a silicon oil, at high temperature and pressure. The experimental measurements are both pressure and temperature of the fluid.
