Description
This dataset supports the publication Computationally Aware and Physically Plausible Hull Form Optimization Incorporating the IMO Second Generation Intact Stability Guidelines. It contains data generated from the systematic variation of the KRISO Container Ship (KCS) ship hull geometry using Free-Form Deformation (FFD), evaluated through high-fidelity Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations and stability assessments. The research focuses on developing optimization strategies that balance resistance performance with compliance to the IMO Second Generation Intact Stability Criteria. The dataset includes the geometries, geometric parameters, operational conditions (e.g., Froude number), and corresponding resistance. It enables studies in multi-objective hull form optimization, regulatory compliance integration, and surrogate modeling within a physically constrained design space.
