Description
The study aimed to determine whether longer manipulation by laparoscopic instruments would mechanically wear out the seal of laparoscopic trocars and cause gas leakages. Using a surgical model, we used an electric actuator to create the motion between the instruments and trocars. The gas flow was measured using a gas flow sensor as well as the abdominal pressure inside the cavity.
The data consists of one TDMS file for each of the trocars that was tested. The raw data for gas flow, abdominal pressure and instrument insertion height are contained within the file in the tabs for each step of the measurement protocol.
