Dataset

Description

This dataset contains data collected during correlated single-molecule force spectroscopy and multi-color confocal laser scanning spectroscopy experiments at AMOLF, as part of Katharina Till's PhD Thesis project. The objective of the project behind this data was to study the conformational control mechanisms of chaperone assisted protein folding. Using selective ribosome profiling and optical tweezers with correlated single-molecule fluorescence, with dihydrofolate reductase (DHFR) as a model system, we show that the Escherichia coli chaperone trigger factor (TF) accelerates nascent chain folding. The data included in this data set has been organised per figure of the corresponding to be published publication. The excel sheet contains several tabs containing the underlying data to the figures they are named after. The data is being made public both to act as supplementary data for publications and the PhD thesis of Katharina Till and in order for other researchers to use this data in their own work.
