Dataset concerning: Training Child Helpline Counsellors with Value-Integrated Chat Simulations

This dataset was collected as part of an evaluation study titled "Training Child Helpline Counsellors with Value-Integrated Chat Simulations." The design of this evaluation study was pre-registered under the Open Science Framework (OSF) registries and is publicly available at https://osf.io/m7x6h . The dataset contains participants’ survey responses for all evaluated measures, including recognised child values, situational awareness (situation understanding), perceived opportunity to align with the child, perceived usefulness of the training tool, agent believability, and overall experience. In addition, it includes participants’ demographic information and their self-rated personal values. The R Markdown script includes the statistical analyses reported in the associated paper. Participants were recruited via the online platform Prolific, and data were collected through an online survey hosted on Qualtrics.

In V2, we added a reliability check assessing the internal consistency of the questionnaires.
