Description
This dataset contains the relevant experimental data for the work entitled "Intermetallic particles trigger streaking corrosion in AA7075-T6". The work focused on the in situ optical-electrochemical analysis of steaking corrosion in AA7075-T6. Streaking corrosion is a local corrosion process characterized by rapidly propagating streaks due to the dissolution of an altered surface layer (also called near surface deformed layer).
The data set includes (1) in situ reflected microscopy images, (2) regions of interests corresponding to microscopy images, (3) open circuit potential measurements, and (4) MatLab and ImageJ codes used for processing the reflected microscopy images. The in situ reflected microscopy images and open circuit potential measurements were obtained simultaneously.
