Description
This dataset consists of 1) worksheets for capturing participants' feedback on current diabetes care practices; 2) worksheets for collecting participants' opinions on proposed AI scenarios; and 3) a document with notes from a dedicated notetaker. The goal of this work is to gather healthcare experts' insights on the role of conversational intermediary AI (CIAI) in enhancing patient-provider communication.
Study
we conducted an exploratory focus group with healthcare experts to discuss the present state of diabetes care, illustrated through a storyboard that showcases interactions between a patient, a GP assistant, and an AI system for promoting healthy lifestyle changes. We also explored the proposed AI functionalities introduced in the storyboard.
Data & analysis
During the sessions, participants used worksheets with structured discussion prompts and space for notes. A dedicated notetaker captured the verbal contributions, enriching the dataset with detailed expert insights.
