Description
Raw and processed data on aeolian sediment transport from the 6-week MegaPeX field campaign at the Sand Motor mega nourishment in The Netherlands. Data was obtained to validate the hypothesis that aeolian sediment transport is supply-limited in this area. Data is obtained using a setup with 8 mobile masts equipped with Wenglor fork laser sensors and Gill 2D WindSonc wind sensors. In addition topographic surveys with RTK-GPS and erosion pins were performed and sediment traps were installed. The dataset contains GPS locations, particle count rates, topographic surveys, small-scale topographic changes, wind speed and direction, precipitation and sediment transport volumes.
