This research is being conducted by Muhammad Shah Bin Ab Rahim for his doctoral project at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), the Netherlands. This doctoral project is supported by the Public Service Department of Malaysia under the Federal Training Prize 2022 with reference number JPA(1)830227015745.
The primary objective of this research is to investigate the potential for integrating process safety and process security risk management within the chemical process industries. This study seeks to construct a comprehensive and unified framework that encapsulates principles of resilience engineering, an approach that enhances systems' capacity to anticipate, withstand, and recover from adverse events.
As part of this research, we seek insights from safety and/ or security professionals to enhance our understanding of unifying process safety and process security management using a resilience-based approach within the Chemical Process Industry (CPI).
This study was approved by the Human Research Ethics Committee of TU Delft on 17 January 2024.
