Description
This dataset contains the script used for the conceptual analysis in the research paper “The role of load variations in assessing credible dike failure probabilities: balancing load and strength uncertainties.”
The study investigates how load variations influence reliability updating and the assessment of credible failure probabilities. The script implements the construction of fragility curves and the direct reliability updating procedure described in the manuscript. It allows users to define and vary load variations and fragility curves (or strength uncertainties), and then apply reliability updating using Bayesian analysis on the fragility curve, where the evidence is survival at an observed load level.
The outputs include key figures illustrating the methodology, and the main results and data of the conceptual analysis.
