Dataset

Description

This dataset contains leaves mechanical, morphological and physiological traits for the seagrass Zostera noltei. Traits were monitored across a European latitudinal gradient of twelve sites from Cadiz (Spain) to Sylt (Germany). The study aimed at understanding the seasonal and geographical variation in seagrass mechanical traits and how their mechanical traits could change depending on their nutrient status and morphometric plasticity. Seagrass samples were collected at each site by using 10 cm diameter cores (n=5) twice over the summer 2014.
