Survey data underlying the publication: Unravelling the hassle factor as a psychological barrier to load shifting energy use of Dutch households through survey-based research

Dataset

Description

SPSS dataset from an exploratory survey about hassles and habit strength as a barrier to Dutch household load shifting. The study aims to unravel the Dutch hassle factor across three key household practices: electric vehicle charging, laundry, and dishwashing. The study addresses three research questions: (RQ1) to what extent hassle and habit act as barriers to Dutch household load shifting; (RQ2) whether hassle can be classified into distinct types across decision-making stages; (RQ3) whether these hassles differ between solar and non-solar households. The survey was programmed in Qualtrics. Respondents were recruited via a Dutch commercial research panel. Answers to open questions are removed from the data set to ensure respondents privacy.
