Personal profile

Research profile

- Currently working on the BEST (Blade Extensions for Silent Turbines) project to assess low-frequency noise of onshore wind turbines via low-fidelity approaches.

- Worked as a postdoc researcher on EU CleanSky2 project called PERSEUS (pulsed jet actuators for separation control of turbulent flows) in collaboration with AIRBUS to characterize internal flow dynamics of pulsed jet actuators by high-fidelity methods.

- Worked on national projects from Turkey about developing a high-fidelity flow solver, called as METUDES, for predictions of wind turbine noise, cavity noise, and boundary layer transition.

- Main research fields are turbulence, detached-eddy simulation, large eddy simulation, aeroacoustics, transition, wind energy, overset grid, acoustic analogy, code development, data analysis, and internal flows.

Academic background

- Worked as a lecturer in École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers for the course of Programming and Numerical Methods in Master Degree Programs.

- Worked as a teaching assistant in Aerospace Engineering Department at Middle East Technical University for the undergraduate courses that are  Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Numerical Methods, Aerodynamic I & II, Heat Transfer, Propulsion Systems I & II, Aircraft Engine Design, Hypersonic Flow, and Static.
