Research profile

Wirawan Agahari (Aga) is a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer in the ICT section, ESS department, Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management (TPM). He has extensive research and teaching experience in the field of data sharing, privacy-enhancing technologies, information privacy, and digital business models. His doctoral research investigated the business and societal implications of privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs) on data sharing decisions by firms and consumers, focusing on multi-party computation (MPC). His research is part of the  Safe-DEED project (Safe Data-Enabled Economic Development) funded by EU Horizon 2020.

Aga is currently involved in the DATAPIPE project funded by the EU Technical Support Instrument (TSI) program. In this project, he is investigating the role of digital infrastructure in improving circular economy monitoring.

His work has been published in top-tier conferences (e.g., European Conference in Information Systems/ECIS, Bled eConference) and journals (e.g., Telematics and Informatics, Journal of Theoretical and Applied Electronic Commerce Research/JTAER). By utilizing qualitative and quantitative research approaches, he looks forward to realizing his research vision of unraveling how firms can leverage privacy-enhancing technologies to transition toward a data-driven and privacy-friendly business model.
