Academic background

Yara graduate as a civil engineer from the American University of Beirut and completed her master's degree in construction management and engineering at the Technical University of Delft.  

Research profile

Yara started her PhD research in 2022 with focus on asset management for storm surge barriers. In specific, the risk-based approach that is applied in the Netherlands is the main subject of the study. The research covers different topics: asset management, climate change, digitalisation.
