Aniek is a Phd candidate at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering and is focused on the development of multimodal transport in the aviation industry. She researches what role Airport Hubs can play in connecting several mobility systems, and focuses specifically on passenger experiences.

Aniek applies an action research approach, which aims to connect the scientific relevance to practical applications. The PhD is the result of a partnership with Royal Schiphol Group, and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol serves as the main case for this research.
