Research profile

Eline Baert is a PhD candidate at TU Delft’s Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment, where she is part of the Department of Management in the Built Environment. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from KU Leuven in Belgium and completed her Master’s studies at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar in Germany. Her research centers on advancing circular supply chain collaboration (CSCC) in the renovation of social housing, with a particular focus on integrating circular principles into procurement and maintenance strategies. As part of the CirCol project, Eline explores how multi-cycle, multi-level, and multi-scale collaborations can drive scalable, circular, and emission-free renovations in the Dutch social housing sector. Her work aims to redesign housing renovation activity systems for circular outcomes, bridge the gap between current practices and desired circular futures, and foster sustainable partnerships among stakeholders. Eline’s research not only addresses technical and organizational challenges but also seeks to transform roles, relationships, and responsibilities within the sector to accelerate the transition toward a more sustainable built environment.
