Research profile

Jerico is a PhD candidate within the Energy and Industry research group of the Engineering, Systems and Services department of the TPM faculty. He holds a bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering from TU Delft and two master’s degrees (MSc) in Sustainable Energy Technology from TU Delft and Global Business & Sustainability from Rotterdam School of Management (Erasmus University). Between his studies and starting his PhD, he worked full-time as an Energy Consultant from the end of 2020 until beginning 2022, working on various projects for the Government, DSOs and Energy Suppliers.

Jerico's field of research addresses the increasing need for efficient implementation of intermittent renewable energy. His specific focus is on the Vehicle-to-Grid innovation; A demand-side flexibility that can provide demand response services to manage load variations. His PhD takes a socio-technical perspective, which implies a system view, considering the mutual influence of social, technical, institutional and political aspects.
