Personal profile

Academic background

Eliza Noordhoek graduated at Industrial Design Engineering in 2006 with Bruno Ninaber van Eyben as her professor. A year later she joined his design studio in Delft to be involved in all different facets of the design practice; from prototyping to production. She developed her skills on crafts, form giving, graphical design and industrial production.

From the 'traditional making' she shifted her work field to the 'new making'; in 2016 she joined the team of a robotic 3D printing startup, to create a company that works on manufacturing 4.0. How can new production techniques like large scale 3D printing, change the industrial world of design and production?

Since 2020, she delved deeper into sustainability and joined design studio Ideal&co to work on projects that support the transition towards a circular economy.

As a teacher of practice, her goal is to coach students to be prepared for the real world as an industrial designer.
