Karen Lancel is PhD candidate and artist at the Lancel/Maat research studio, http://www.lancelmaat.nl.
Lancel conducts her research internationally, in digital art, performance and installations, technology and science. Her PhD research emerges from intensive collaboration with Prof Dr. Frances Brazier (TBM, Participatory Systems Initiative) based on the Lancel/Maat studio practice. This studio explores and orchestrates participatory performances in public spaces of merging realities inyternationally, based on dialogue, shared intimate touch experience, multi-sensory, multi-modal and social orchestrations, designed and analysed for future design of empathy, trust and shared sense-making in public space.
