- Development of new dynamical models and control strategies to describe the orbital dynamics of solar-sail propelled spacecraft in the near-Earth environment
Project on the optimization of laser-pushed solar-sail interplanetary trajectories, performed by means of a machine learning-based optimizer. Main activities pursued:
- Design, validation and implementation of a laser-enhanced solar sail thrust model within a machine learning-based trajectory optimizer witten in C++
- Trajectory optimisation and performance analysis of laser-enhanced sailcraft interplanetary missions
- Writing and publication of a paper for the 68th International Astronautical Congress
