Personal profile

Research profile

With a strong foundation in civil engineering and a specialization in Transportation Engineering, I am a doctoral researcher interested in exploring the intersection of Transportation Economics, Econometric/Choice modeling, Traffic Safety, and Machine Learning. I am a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Industrial Doctoral Candidate in the IVORY project for “Explainable AI for road safety: benchmarking AI methods and data” with my industrial partner as Agilysis, UK, and associated partner as Transport for West Midlands, UK.

My work in the Ivory project broadly involves analyzing the capabilities and limitations of Statistical/Econometric, and Machine Learning models in the context of Road Safety. As part of the project, I am building a new explainable AI-based risk mapping tool for urban roads in West Midlands, UK. Another key aspect is to operationalize the concept of AI explainability as a key enabler of ethical justice in decision-making and benchmark the value of both Statistical/Econometric and Machine Learning models.

Outside of academia, I enjoy exploring different cultures through travel and finding inspiration in various art forms, especially Music.
