Research profile

Long term, I foresee no distinction between computers and buildings, both will be intelligent systems capable of relating with users and context. My research contributes to this horizon, with emphasis on integrating human factors into digital processes. My work focuses on computational design of buildings and building components. I operate at the intersection of architectural design, building engineering and computer science,  developing computational methods and related digital tools for design space exploration to support integral design decision making in early design. Goal is to augment humans to design for humans and beyond, seeking for complementarity between humans and computational systems.
