Research profile

Mirna Ashraf Ali is an emerging researcher and practitioner in urban heritage conservation, with a particular focus on the governance and the management historic cities and settlements. She is committed to the advancement of the implementation of the UNESCO Recommendation on the Historic Urban Landscape (HUL) and has contributed to initiatives such as the UNESCO Urban Heritage Atlas and the World Heritage Cities Programme. Currently pursuing a PhD project in TU Delft, Mirna’s research focuses on the integration of World Heritage frameworks, into the planning and design guidelines and regulations.
