Dr. Perica Jovchevski is a post-doctoral researcher in the section of Ethics and Philosophy of Technology at TU Delft, working on ethical aspects of military AI-enabled systems within the ELSA Lab Defence. He obtained his PhD in 2023 with a dissertation on “The Value of Personal Autonomy” from the Doctoral School of Political Science, Public Policy and International Relations at the Central European University in Vienna. Before joining TU Delft, he was a visiting lecturer in moral and political philosophy at the Central European University (Vienna) and the Eötvös Loránd University (Budapest).

Research interests

Perica's research interests are focused on foundational and applied topics within moral and political theory, primarily concerning autonomy, punishment, justice and the ethics of memory. Currently he works on autonomation bias and the normative significance of responsibility and accountability gaps in the context of development and deployment of autonomous weapons systems.
