Raja Sekhar Battu is currently working as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering, TU Delft, Netherlands, where he is contributing to the Reliablade2 project. His work focuses on the development of hybrid modelling frameworks that integrate experimental data and finite element simulations for damage detection and remaining useful life (RUL) prediction in composite wind turbine blades.
He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Exeter, UK, where his research, under the supervision of Dr. Evangelos Papatheou, focused on vibration-based Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) using pattern recognition and machine learning techniques.
He earned his Master of Technology in Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, India, with a thesis focused on the design and structural analysis of a fully composite aircraft wing using finite element modelling in ANSYS.
