Personal profile

Research profile

My research interests are urban regeneration, self-organisation, participatory planning, community entrepreneurship, online/offline citizen engagement, social capital and collective efficacy. I am involved in international comparative research on community enterprises and various other forms of citizen-based co-production and residential area redevelopment. I am also continuing research and data analysis based on the JPI ERA-NET research on Smart Urban Governance, studying the co-production conditions of digital participatory platforms in neighbourhood governance and self-organisation. A cross-over between my research and education innovation (as a designated TU Delft Education Fellow) concerns the topic of community engagement in student research in planning design education.
