Dr.
Senthil is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering (IDE) at TU Delft. His research focuses on the integration of computer support tools to aid collaboration in early design, and the use of visualisation and visual analytics techniques to understand how designers work together. Senthil received his Ph.D from the School of Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, after which he worked as a postdoc at the Human-Computer Interaction Lab at the University of Maryland and then in the Visualization and Interface Design Innovation Lab at the University of California, Davis.
At the IDE faculty, Senthil is a part of the Designing Intelligence Lab (DI_Lab), where he is interested in using visualisation techniques to examine design discussions and help develop models that can be used to train non-human agents that can in turn participate in or influence design processes.
