Description

The 2017 Quantitative BioImaging Conference was held on January 5-7, 2017 at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. It brings researchers together from engineering, (bio)physics, biology and chemistry who work on quantitative aspects of microscopy. Students were encouraged to enter a competition for the Best Student Poster Presentation Award. An independent jury assessed the poster presentations and determined the awardee. 
This year Hamidreza Heydarian won the Best Student Poster Presentation Award for the poster titled “λ/100 resolution by template-free 2D particle fusion in localization microscopy”. He is awarded the opportunity to present his work in a plenary lecture during the QBI 2018 conference which is going to be held at Göttingen, Germany. A Texas A&M stamped clock is also part of the prize.
