Description
Organic micropollutants (OMPs), due to more strict regulations, become mandatory to be removed from the effluent of wastewater treatment plants. Throughout the years several mature technologies have been applied, but they contribute to a high CO2-footprint and are associated with high costs. The innovation of Adsorption-Oxidation (AdOx) offers an alternative solution, using high-silica zeolite granules as a tailor-made adsorbent in a fixed-bed filtration and in-situ regeneration of the exhaustive bed with ozone gas. AdOx is a cost-effective and sustainable technology, enabling a selective removal of a wide range of OMPs
