Beeldvorming: A non-invasive look inside statues

In the Beeldvorming project, most experimental data has been gathered using neutron tomography and gamma spectroscopy experiments on several objects of cultural heritage. The objects are part of museum collections of the Netherlands and abroad, reference objects (calibration standards) as well as archaeological objects.
The development of an algorithm for "data fusion" of the different experimental modalities progresses continual, using the reference objects. This algorithm will be later applied to the museum collection objects, in order to obtain the 3D internal information from the experimental data sets, non-invasively.

NWO
