Abstract

In the summer of 2011, I was awarded a Consolidator Grant by the European Research Council titled "Advanced Antenna Architectures for THz Sensing Systems (AAATSI)". The grant lasts 5 years and this contribution reports on the significant technical advances that were obtained in the first 4 years. The activities are oriented to four scientific themes: Quasi Optical systems, Leaky Lens Antennas, Connected Arrays and Artificial Dielectrics. A detailed report on the first half of the grant can be found in [1] where all relevant references and the many contributors to this work can also be found.
