    Abstract

    The international strategy of the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment at Delft University of Technology is based upon four pillars:
    a) Using design expertise to tackle global challenges related with social and spatial segregation, affordable housing and infrastructure, health and sanitation for all; b) Promoting creative methodological, conceptual, artistic and technological innovations to support sustainable development taking into consideration local resources, social structures and spatial practices; c) Co-creation with partners in developing countries, encouraging close cooperation, knowledge transfer and cross-cultural approaches; d) Development of solutions with potential to create local impact, promoting more inclusive, healthier and safer living environments.
