    Abstract

New generation of mobile electrical power sources is based on the historical change from constant speed, determining the required frequency, to the optimally changed engine and generator speed. The constant frequency and required voltage value is achieved by means of power electronics voltage and frequency converter. The paper brings some new analyses of efficiency investigations of mobile power sources with variable speed concept.
