Abstract
The Sentinel-1 is a brand new satellite constellation which produces large high quality images. Analysing the data happens on the frontiers of remote sensing science, providing new insights especially for largely unmonitored countries. The first results for land subsidence in Myanmar are stunning and raise questions on the cause. By Teije van der Horst, who graduated on the topic with a 10 out of 10.
