Abstract

We report on the development of a lifelong learning course in the field of fiber optics. We participated in a consortium consisting of three educational institutes and twelve small and medium enterprises active in the field of photonics. Via interviews, company visits and a survey we extracted the educational needs of the companies. A dedicated set of courses were developed at different educational levels and on different topics. Here, we present our work in the field of fiber optics.
